If your kids have spent all week staring at whiteboards and dreaming of the Great Outdoors (or just dreaming of getting spectacularly muddy), we have the perfect Friday afternoon solution.
Trade the classroom for the flower beds! We are thrilled to host our monthly After-School Garden Club right here in the back garden at Poppy’s. It’s a chance for the neighborhood kiddos to swap their pencils for trowels and get a little dirt under their fingernails, all in the name of science, art, and community.
What’s Growing On? 🪴
Hosted by our wonderful friends at the Neighborhood Garden Initiative, this isn't your average "sit-still-and-listen" club. We’re all about hands-on exploration. Whether your child is a budding botanist who knows their succulents, or they just really like the "nature crafts" part (who doesn't love a good leaf print?), there’s a spot in the soil for them.
What to expect:
-
Plant Exploration: Learning how things grow and why they matter.
-
Nature-Based Crafts: Getting creative with the bits and bobs the garden provides.
-
Friendship Sprouting: A chance to hang out with other local kids in a low-stakes, high-fun environment.
The Logistics (aka The Parent Stuff) 📋
We like to keep things simple and accessible. After all, the garden is for everyone!

Space is Limited! 🎟️
While our love for plants is infinite, our garden space is not. To make sure everyone has room to dig and create, we do have a cap on attendance. You can snag your spot right here on our website to ensure you don't miss out.
Come ready to dig in, Petaluma. We can’t wait to see what we grow together!
